300+ browser-based tools, no signup, and nothing you type leaves the page

Before, and after
Ads and server round-trips
- Free calculators are ad-choked to the point that the advertising outweighs the tool.
- Most send your input to a server to perform arithmetic the browser could do instantly.
- Plenty want an account before they will divide two numbers.
- Whatever you typed in has left your machine, for a sum.
Instant, local, private
- 300+ tools that run entirely in the browser. Nothing you type leaves the page.
- No account, advertising kept light, and no round-trip for a calculation.
- Search and categorisation were rebuilt after launch, because at 300+ tools the index page turned out to be the product.
What they were up against
Free online calculators are almost universally ad-choked and slow, and most send your input to a server to do arithmetic a browser can do instantly. We carry advertising too, deliberately light — the difference is that it never gets between you and the tool, and your input still never leaves your machine.
What we shipped
300+ calculators, converters and tools that run entirely in the browser. No account, minimal advertising, and nothing you type leaves the page.
What went wrong, and what we did
Shipping 300+ tools created a discovery problem we underestimated — the index page became the product, and the first version of it was unusable. Search and categorisation had to be rebuilt after launch.
What was asked for, and what was done
The brief in their words.
- Our own product, not a client's.
- Something genuinely useful that did not depend on advertising to pay for itself.
What actually shipped.
- 300+ calculators, converters and utilities, on the way to a target of 1,000.
- Every tool runs in the browser through WebAssembly — PDF editing, OCR, background removal — with no server doing the work.
- No account required to use anything.
- A search and category system rebuilt after launch, once it became clear the index was the product.
Not in the brief. Proposed by us.
- Doing the compute locally rather than on a server. It costs more engineering and it is the entire privacy argument.
- A generator that lets a tool be built inside a sandbox, so the catalogue can grow without a release each time.
What keeps it safe.
- Nothing you type leaves the page. The files you drop in are processed in your own browser, so there is no upload to breach.
- No account means no password database and no personal data to lose.
- Independently audited — a non-destructive penetration test of 7busyboss.com covering TLS, security headers, CSP, CORS and authentication gates.
Pointed at customers and revenue.
- No signup is the whole funnel: a visitor uses the thing before deciding anything.
- Privacy is the differentiator, not the ad count. Competitors are ad-funded AND send your input to their servers; we kept the second half out of it.
- 300+ entry points into the same site, each answering a different search.
